Elfish (Something I Wrote Under The Influence)

Trouble comes knocking….I am really stupid for getting high and regret it (believe me I will be sorry tomorrow;

I’m going to die….I am going to die….I am going to died….I am going to get died

I feel like I am at death’s doorstep, like he’s there just waiting for my passing spirit to scoop up.  How now, I know not.  The possibilities are quite variable in terms of who or how I will be coming to the final frontier, but what I shall call my ghost sense is strongly indicating a potential terminal threat.

Everyone knows the elves were wiped out by men, a complete genocide, years and years ago

Elves were very much like humans except for their second set of genitals making 4 distinct genders

in appearance, they came in a variety of colors, the basic spectrum of human palettes along with shades of blue, violet, green, and of course gold and silver

The variability of the elfish race exceeded color, some had twenty fingers, others three legs, some had six arms, some had horns-single, two, some had a whole head of horns, others had antler like protuberances.  Along with the physical characteristic wide range, elves had certain genetic anomalies that would be passed on. 

For instance, one genetic “disease” would keep an elf from aging, remaining a child of 13 for their whole life.  Although elves were not immortal as the stories sometimes mislead, the ones with this genetic trait could live forever, but only if the genetic trait was expressed. 

Other genetic peculiarities, the elves with five hearts, or the elves with a Hensla, an organ allowing them to abstain from eating if they so wished as it provided them with the ability to get sustenance from the air alone.  Other genetic “disease” known as Jane’s syndrome, when two or more souls exist in one body, creating a split personality. 

Than the Eye of Lobos, a third eye on their forehead granting a magical sixth sense of seeing through a person and knowing their true thoughts and motives.  These elves were very much reviled and usually burned if they acted independently.  A secret order of Lobos, on the other hand, was a revered class often hired by the rich and powerful, kings and magnates, as they could be used as tools.   Others still had a power of foresight, capable of seeing a day or sometimes three days into the future depending on how much they trained this skill.  It was induced by dreams which are highly metaphorical.  Many believe this skill to be nothing more than charlatanism. 

The elven lands were located on earth, but not an island or country, not in the realms of humans.  There are doors within ancient forests, the so called Gate Trees, giant albino trees so white they looked like bone or ivory.   A special spell craft was required to construct the Doorways between the two realms and many Gate Tree’s existed in the olden days allowing travel for men and elves. 

The two realms were identical in almost every way.  The elven realm and the human realm lay right on top of each other in multidimensional space and could both independently exist according to the law of concurrent special shift phasing, basically since matter is in a constant flux and empty space comprises most of reality, the two realms could concurrently exist on top of each other at the same time without any significant disturbances. 

Of course, this didn’t mean that there wasn’t any conflicts when certain occurrences happened within one or both realms.   Oftentimes it was what is known as echoing, either visual or auditory and sometimes tactile experiences, often described as ghostly, or uncanny.  Other times, the layout of the two realms would change such as geography, causing what is known as tracing, a sort of luminous light outlining the change.   And of course there is Realm Phasing, this is when something or even someone crosses over accidentally without using the Gate tree.  This happens more often when the moon is full.  Some humans and elves have the ability to phase at will.  It was a skill very hard to acquire and very much coveted.

Then there is the phenomena of Melding.   This happens when two people, a person from the elven realm and a person from the human realm, align in the exact same position and allow themselves to be taken in, which can be done on purpose or purely by accident, but it has to be allowed either way, whether person knows it or not.  What happens is the two people meld together temporarily, it can be prolonged by professionals, but is usually only for a moment.  When two people meld, they share their minds, knowledge, emotions, memories, even tactile feelings.  When done accidentally or against someone’s will, it is likened to mind intrusion or even mind rape, especially when one dominates the other, the one being someone who is targeting with the purpose of invading.   However, people who willfully meld consider it one of the greatest intimate, loving, sexual experiences.

(What am I going to do with this whole spiel? It could be used as a basis for a neat little tale, some fantasy story...but I don’t know if I can do this writing here unfortunately :(
